A classic 1930s vintage Beacon blanket robe that was shortened at some point to be worn as a jacket. Styled with the typical shawl collar and patch pockets, all edged in blue and white twisted cording.
SIZE: No size label. Chest measured using side seams, allowing 11" of overlap in front
Measurements | Inches | Cm |
Chest | 44" | 111.75 |
Shoulders | 19" | 48 |
Length from back of neck | 36" | 91.5 |
Sleeve length | 24" | 61 |
FABRIC/COLORS: Gorgeous art deco geometric jacquard, in soft shades of blue, charcoal, gray, and off-white. Made from lovely soft Beacon blanket fabric - they are generally cotton or cotton blend, and should be machine washable.
TAGS: Genuine Beacon Fabric
CLOSURES: N/A, designed for wrap front. It does have self-fabric belt loops at the side seam if you want to add a sash tie.
CONDITION: Structural seams are all flat felled, meaning fabric edges folded inside and stitched down, as if often done with denim. A 1" section of outer seaming is open on the right sleeve near the cuff - see closeup. Inner seam is still intact. I also see an area of focal fading on the left cuff - see other closeup. No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
